Polishing was not necessary..Look!!

Well it has been so long since I looked at it in my safe, I guess I even forgot how "new" it was. I think I was on a bunch of other sites looking for Model 60 Stainless Chief's to compare mine with.

And I saw many different finish conditions on most. And I never saw (1) new in the box with matching serial number, wax paper and all the documents.

So, I guess I just thought its been over 2 yrs since I looked at it that it might need a polishing. But I also forgot I had wrapped it
a LGS oiled type micro fiber cloth.

Wow! Took it out, wiped it off. All original ..here it is!

Protected and dry it's not surprising it didn't need polishing. That's what stainless steel does! Gorgeous gun!

I lost all of my manufacturers' gun boxes in my 2018 fire but, otherwise, all of the guns I ever bought new had their matching box. I always figured that was what you were supposed to do! ;)
 
Shoot em, clean em, repeat. They'll always look great!
