I wanted to see some statistics on what seems to be the best ammo. If you had to choose one ammo... or better yet, from your experience with the mp15-22, which ammo have you used with the least amount of failures. This poll is leaning more towards reliability than accuracy.

federal champion bulk packs are great, cci tactical, and winchester m22 are also. gotta get the normal stuff up there in the poll.

Number #1 for me is CCI Tactical 40 grain 1200 Copper Plated... Put Already 1300 rounds with Zero failure to eject or feed, this sucker works better than any other ammo I've used to date. My vote is CCI Tactical.

I am siding w/ Aceman on this one. The CCI Tactical has been clean, no flyers, and no feed/fire/eject issues for me.

Based on reliability, definitely American federal bulk 40g. Luckily it's one of the cheapest around.

I voted
Federal American Eagle 40gr
since that is all I have ran yet.

Shot the new MOE a few weeks back, put 225 rounds through it, now one misfire or jam.

I do want to try the CCI Tactical though, and may buy a box tomorrow when I hit the range in the morning.

The Federal ammo I have I got the first 500 for less than $20 when I picked up my rifle, then a few days later I bought 5,000 rounds from ammunitiontogo.com for $140.

In the list is CCI Standard Velocity 40gr LRN the same as the CCI Blazer 40gr LRN 1235 FPS 525 ROUND VALUE PACK?

I have shot nothing on the list. I have a thousand rounds of Federal Champion (36 gr bulk pack) through mine in the last week without a single problem and acceptable (for me) accuracy. I am going to try a box of the CCI Tactical just to see how it does, but until I go through the remaining 10k of Federal I have on hand I'll not be buying much of anything else.

As long as the Federal does well for me, I'll probably stick with it, as I can get it for under $40/1000 (some times less) just about every day of the week.

I vote for Stingers. Have only shot about 200, but no failures of any kind. I love CCI MiniMags, but I have had 1 fail to fire ( rotated and rechambered the round and it fired) of about 1000 rounds fired. I'll pretty much buy CCI anything and Federal AutoMatch from now on.

I have tried many of the items listed. But you don't have any of my favorites listed as options. Wally-World Federal Value Pack has been great for me, and is my bulk go-to round.

But honestly, I have fired a few thousand rounds and maybe two or three FTF/FTE. That includes sub-sonic's and other exotics. If I needed a high quality round to rely on, I would probably go with Velocitor, Stinger or the Aguila 60gr Sub-Sonics. All worked great and tear a single ragged hole.

I use Federal Auto Match but it's not on the poll. It's the best feeding in my 15-22 MOE and my Ruger MKIII.

I've used Federal Champion, Winchester 333/555 and CCI Mini-Mags and even ran some Remington Golden Bullets through my M&P 15-22 and everything worked just fine. Actually didn't have any failures with the Remingtons, and they work fine in my Ruger Mk III and GSG 1911-22 pistols. I have CCI Mini-Mags in a couple magazines when the gun is stored in it's "safe place" just in case I ever need to grab it in a hurry. The CCI's seem to behave better in all my 22's, but haven't really kept track of exact malfunction counts. Probably have had less than a dozen FTF or FTE problems in over 1000 rounds in the M&P.

I just ordered my 3rd 5000 round case of CCI Blazer Standard Velocity 40gr LRN. Runs great and the price is right at Dunn's $164 for the case of 5K with free shipping.

It seems to be cheaper to buy 10x 500 round boxes which comes to $158 shipped for me.

I guess "best" is in the eyes of the shooter...honestly I kinda surprised no one has brought up accuracy at all? For me, the best ammo is whatever shoots most accurately period.

I usually go to the a big box of bulk ammo (Winchester M-22 Tac) and a few boxes of various good stuff. If I want to unload a mag downrange I'll of course use the cheap stuff but most of the time I find myself only using better ammo...

It is more expensive for the "good stuff" but when you think about actually how cheap .22 ammo is i consider it worth it!

My list of BEST ammo would be Winchester subsonic 40 gr hp, CCI green tag, and Eley match. The difference is truly amazing when you start paying attention to your groups! Especially out to 70 yds and beyond.

If I had to list the worst, w/o a doubt it would be CCI Stinger. Maybe it's just my rifle but at 65 yds I went from 1-3" groups with various ammo to 6 or 9" 5 shot groups! Have had the stingers for quite awhile so that could be it but it was definitely in the category of broadside-of-barn.

Just my 2cents
