Polymer

Would you believe on the outside of the polymer stock, I just use a bit of dishwater on a cloth.
On the inside of the action, any good gun solvent.

I've never thought anything about just wiping the polymer exterior with anything other than Hoppes #9. I assume polymer is impervious to it since it's going to get on the interior parts, along with the oils we use to lubricate them with.

Am I making a mistake?

I used Acetone to remove paint without damaging the plastic railed hand guard. What sort of cleaning?

I also use baby wipes when I clean my 15-22. Just make sure they are the non-scented ones without any additives or chemicals in them.
