The timing is profound....
And curiously (eerily?) so for the release of "Conclave"

I'll keep you guys posted.
LOL. If you get the job, will you be posting here in Latin?

I 'll vote for you in the conclave if you'll get me one of those Swiss Guard jester suits.

What a fitting time for a Pope to meet his Maker, on Resurrection Day.

Sad that the Holy Father was so ill with a lung affliction and suffered so. I also have a lung condition, emphysema, and live on the knife edge of pneumonia. Pneumonia at an advanced age is almost always terminal. Fortunately we had a mild winter here in the valley. Prayers and many thanks to the Holy Father.

Confession comes first when you arrive ... it could take a while, perhaps?
Does the Catholic Church still do Indulgences ? Break out the cash and you might be able to cut some time off of your session in the confessional .

I did not agree with a lot of what he did (a little too socialist for me) but he was a man of God, so may he rest in peace.

The Swiss Guard are much like...

...the Palace Guard in England. Parade around in traditional uniforms with halberds, but can get very serious if the need were to arise.

I should add, that even in the position of being a bureaucrat, Francis had his priorities in the right order.

He was a good one.

I will say, I am shocked and sickened to see the news reports of "mourners" taking selfies of themselves with the casket in the background. I didn't think anything could shock me anymore. I'd like to turn the Swiss Guards loose on them.
