S&W Model A 300 win mag bolt removal

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Help received for bolt removal of S&W Model A 300 win mag, but still cannot remove bolt!!!
Instructions from WHO CARES,
I tried pulling back on the trigger, it did not come out. I felt like any harder and I would bend or brake something.
Information fro SMITH & WESSON
I recieved a Page S&W 7.68 from S&W, and it reads like this.

To Remove The Bolt
Unsafe by sliding the safety button (4) forward. lift the bolt- handle and draw it to the rear. At the same time push down and outward the bolt stop located on left hand side of the rear end of the receiver.
This is word for word, instructions that was sent to me from page S&W 7.68 along with a sketch of the right side of the Action. It does not show the left hand side of the rear end of the receiver and their is no bolt stop that I can see.
I called S&W and talked to a rep. and asked him for the rest of the write up on the model A. I asked about sending pages S&W 7.67 or 7.69? he said that that was all he had on the rifle. I guess pages 7.67 0r 7.69 does not have anthing pertaining to the rifle.
All I can do know is bring this diagram to a gunsmith and maybe he can help me.
I can't see the forrest for the trees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks

I stole that pic from Gunbroker. I'd say, while holding the trigger, depress the lever on the left of the action then pull the bolt out.

Its supposed to be the same as a Mossberg, but the one guy I know with a Mossberg said his does'nt have the button on the left. His you just pull the trigger and the bolt comes out.

I don't know why but there is no button or lever or anything to push down on. I pull back on the trigger just short of bending it and the bolt still does not come out. The only thing I can see is my rifle is a husqvarna vapenfabriks built between 1969 & 1972, and the rifle's with the lever or button on the left or from the mod.1500 or something.

Where are you located?

Maybe someone local can help, ya might be seein a gunsmith in the near future.....

Seems no one here has experience with that particular gun, but usually bolt removal is simple.

The bolt stop combined with the ejector is in a groove on the underside of the bridge.A serreated button projects from the receiver, depress this button and pull out your bolt. The button might not stick out of the receiver too much, but you can see it if you look for it.Hope this helps.

S&W Bolt Removal

The Problem is solved,

I finally decided to go to this gunsmith in Baton Rouge. He has some of the old Husqvarna's rifles but the bolt's are not the same. Anyhow he started pulling at it and pulled the trigger out and to see why when you pull the trigger, and the bolt back it would not come out. after about 30 minutes he took the trigger apart and found a piece missing. there is a pin that sit right under the trigger block . when the trigger is pulled and the rifle fires and you pull the trigger back a little more the pin comes up and pushes the hammer down just enough to clear the slot under the bolt an that is what free's the bolt to come out!!!!!!!
The gun smith has to make the pin and it has to be the right length for everything to operate correctly. he has my rifle and will call me when it is ready.
The person before me who had the trigger worked on, apparently let the pin fall out and did not notice it missing.
The rifle still shot he just never tried to take the bolt out after he put it in.
Case should be closed.
