Post Your WWI and WWII Firearms

What would be a good French WW1 or WW2 collectable rifle?

WWI
1886-93 Lebel
Berthier 07-15

WWII
Same as above but added to include
MAS 36
Berthier M16
MAS 40 however the day it was tested, 6/8/40 was the same day that German troops arrived in Paris so it really never got into use.

Winchester M1 receiver with various other parts. I believe this was a CMP rebuild.

Unmarked Victory. Waiting on the letter.

And a Bulgarian contract Luger. This one may have seen both wars. If only this one could talk.

Only two wartime guns that I own. 1st is a 1932 Hex receiver 91/30 Mosin Nagant; the other is a 1903 Pocket Hammerless .32Auto Colt Pistol.

Late edit: I do have a couple of other wartime guns, at least the models were used in wartime, but not the actual guns. I have a Springfield M1A (basically a semiauto M14), and a Springfield 1911A1.

Well, I do have a great great grandfather's 1858 Remington Army .44 he carried in the Civil War. I can't post it, as this is for 20th century firearms. Your loss. Also his Remington .36 revolver he kept in his boot as a back-up. 39th Illinois Volunteers.

Japanese Type 94 Nambu manufacture date April 1941. It was nicknamed the suicide pistol. If you look at the 2nd picture, the long sear bar is shown and when pushed, the gun will fire. These were mainly issued to tank commanders from what I've read.

Here is just one which I know had at least one exciting trip in its biography:

A pre-Victory British Service Revolver, shipped to the British Purchasing Commission in May 1941.

Since it has the acceptance stamp from the Royal Small Arms Factory at Enfield on the frame, which was discontinued once Lend-lease started, I know it crossed the ocean in the belly of a freighter sometime before the end of 1941, at a time when it looked like the U-boats might be winning the Battle of the Atlantic. Obviously, this ship made it.

The gun later transferred into Australian service, most likely by way of resupply for the Australian divisions fighting in the Mediterranean theater, and was FTR'd at Lithgow in 1954, where it lost its original blue finish.

PS: It just occurred to me that this gun almost certainly circumnavigated the Earth. When VEGA in California re-imported these from Australia, they surely came directly across the Pacific. And since I got it on GB from a dealer in NY, it closes the circle. Not that it matters, it's just a cool thought ;).
