How many of you have sent a P.M. to someone either asking a question on an item for sale or asked to trade and have never heard from them?
If I receive an offer that I would not accept, I always p.m. the person telling them thanks but not at this time. If you don't answer then the person sending it does not know if you received it.
Please be courtious enough to reply to any offers. Thanks.

You deserve an answer and I agree wholeheartedly. Or you send them pictures and don't bother to reply. The worst guy recently was not on this forum but I agreed to sell this guy my old Jennings Arrowstar compound and made a special shipping box and included an original soft case, extra strings, original bow quiver, berger button, arrow holder, screws, hardware, two string changers and a nice note telling him to enjoy the bow. I had shot a lot of deer with it. He never bothered to tell me he received it. I had to email him again. Rude.

Happened to me more than once. I had a request for a holster, price was agreed upon and arrangements were made. While I waited for payment, I constructed the holster. Never recieved payent and when I PM'd the individual saying that if he changed his mind, that's cool, just let me know and I'll add it to my inventory. Never heard back from him.
my last message to him was on May of 2013.
If somebody changes their mind, say something. Don't just leave people hanging.
If you change your mind, that's groovy, somebody'll buy it. I may just end up using it myself.

On the other hand, some people keep PMing after you have refused an offer to sell. I have offered trades, and people want to buy. If I wanted to sell I can spell that. I know modern manners are lacking, but it seems the biggest problem in our society is people are incapable of following simple instructions, on both sides of PM's. Counter rant over. Ivan

PMs, emails, text messages, it's everywhere. People feel that the electronics is a buffer so they don't have to be polite. Then again, some people are just rude anyway.

I always respond to electronic communications.
I always return phone calls.

I guess I'm just funny that way.

When I offer to sell something on Craigslist I only offer the option of phoning me. If I allow them to email me I get replies like "Do you sill have this item?" They get my answer and sell my email address to spammers. Last time I offered something for sale on Craigslist I got a text! My ads say "only phone calls".

There is a lot of crazy stuff going on out there, act accordingly.

I also have a problem with sending emails to friends.There are times that my emails have several topics.They always hit reply but inevitably never answer most of my questions.

I have considered sending emails with only one topic at a time just to see what happens.

2. How are you?...send
3. Just thought I'd write...send
4. Oops! the phone is ringing...send
5. I wanted to ask you...send
6. Nevermind!...send

This applies to everyone. For some reason, email is a one subject transmission. I can't tell you the number of times I've sent emails with multiple questions and 99 out of 100 will only see the first or last question.

You are not alone.

I find it handy to number questions in emails, if I have multiple questions. That seems to help folks notice that there is more than one question. Same for when I am giving instructions on how to do something.

A lot of people don't read with care.

Thanks for pointing this out. I really am not a rude person, but I have failed to reply to messages a couple of times.

I'm with the OP. If I respond to a forum member request, I expect the courtesy of a reply. If I go out of my way to dig up an item, shoot pics, transfer them to the computer to send, and then I never hear a yea or nea: that is RUDE.
But hey, the majority of Americans voted for obummer twice, so there is the answer.

I guess it all boils down to, we are are supposed to be adults. Respond to people on the forum as you would if someone was standing in front of you. If they ask you a question and you don't answer then you deserve any consequences.

Ha! I even replied to and had a blast when responding to a Nigerian Scam email! The emails went on and on!

I got tired after the 37th email but left off after I had made it to Brazil in my motorcycle and was about to take a hot air balloon to Nigeria so I could be united with my love and new found money.

The subject is called "reading and comprehension" and you're right. There's a lot of folks out there that aren't all the sharp.

You have to take things in stride.

If you send a seller e-mails with questions and / or an offer and get no response, that means the seller is not interested.

You probably would not want to deal with that seller anyways. Move on and get over it. :D

The ones I get annoyed at are the ones with something to sell and when you reply, they never reply to your response.

Another is, when after several days with no movement on an item for sale, you ask if it still available and then ask several questions about the item. All you get back is ya, still for sale
