Over the years I've had and worn a few of these bracelets. Each of the names I got were MIAs, after years of wearing them each was found and brought home for burial here. They were all Vietnam Vets.
The last one I wore, i laid down at the base of The Wall in DC, after he was found, brought home, and his name added. The others I didn't because I didn't know what I had done with the bracelets. My daughter found one the other day and she asked me what it was. She is only 7, but i carefully explained it all to her. She is no dummy and she understands putting herself in to the shoes of others, and thinking about stuff in ways different than her own.
She asked me if they still make them, and if she could buy one. With her money. I told her they certainly do, and I would find where to get them. There are still over 2000 Americans MIA in Vietnam, and over 8000 from Korea.
Anyhow I looked online and found some, but I want to put it out to the Vets here, because I want to make sure I am going to buy from the right source. There are bracelet sales out there that I found that make me wonder f they are legit. So, where do I go to get them these days? I've decided to buy a couple of them, and that I will again put one on.
