Powder for .223?

I like 748 in the 223. I'm leery of BL(C)2 in that caliber, however. I think that the latter works in a narrower pressure range and things can get dicey fast if you're not exceptionally careful. Just my .02.

PS: Hope you have a good supply of small rifle primers. Ball powders usually call for magnum primers, but I've had equally good results with the regular ones in the 223.
 
I too have had excellent success with A2230. Also there was a surplus version C2230 which was just a bit slower, but not as much as 2520. I used it with 69Sie and 73 bergers for 2/300 yd lines in Highpower. And as others have said, it meters exceptionally well. Howard
 
W-748, an excellent choice. Meters well, good accuracy, easy to duplicate factory 55 grain loads, very clean burning.
