Powder question

Unlike most of their other fast burning powders Hodgdon does
not recommend that Titewad be used in handgun loads. Don't
know why. I wonder if anyone has actually tried Titewad in
the 38 special?

Haven't tried it for anything, but this is taken directly from Hodgdon's product description for Titewad on their web site:

"This outstanding propellant designed for 12 guage only,"

They don't even provide data for other shotgun guages! They certainly have some reason for specifying such a narrow range of application for this product, and you would be well to abide by the manufacturers recommendation and believe there is good reason for it.
