Have looked everywhere for some Alliant 20/28 powder. None to be found at any price. Am not quite out, but some more would be nice. No surprise really. :(

No luck there but I will keep checking, :)
That's the only place I ever find powder these days, but you have to buy it in the morning because it's gone by sundown. I check pretty much every day. In the last few weeks I've seen in stock AA #2, #5, #7 and #9, Some AA Rifle powders, H110, W231, Staball 6.5, Ramshot Zip and Silhouette, as well as some Vihtavouri powders. I doubt you'll ever see Bullseye, Unique, or 2400 in stock, but you may find something good that you can use.

Wish we were closer. I have an 8 pounder. What do you use it in? I got it to try in 20 ga shotshells but I have quite a bit of Unique...my usual 20 and 28 ga powder I decided to just keep using it. I think I have a "few" full cases already loaded. Also have an 8 lb Longshot I don't know what to do with

POWDER

Skeet, use it in both my 20 and 28 gauge loadings. As luck would have it I found a 8lb keg in the back of my powder magazine just this afternoon while getting out something else. Just forgot i picked it up a couple years or 3 ago .:D I dont think regular people can legally ship powder or primers for sure. I know getting caught shipping primers is a big no no. :( Anyway, THANKS. :)

Try dawsonent.net , they also have a face book page that lists current inventory.

Ivan
.com, not .net.
And...they don't ship reloading supplies.
From their site:
Mostly, our reloading components and ammo are either picked up at our location or shipped on our trucks to dealers and shooting facilities in Ohio and surrounding states. We do not "mail order" powders, primers, or lead shot. We will Fed Ex full cases of ammo and wads and most any accessory items that we carry.

About that Longshot powder in shotgun loads............

I tried a few 12 Ga. trap loads with that powder and the noise hurt my ears !!

Never tried 20/28 powder .

That's what I bought it for too. Decided the Unique loads were just fine so never usd it. Had a friend who tried it...went back to Unique. I'm glad you've got what you need. Not that much shotgun shooting here in Wyoming.

I check at least 5-10 online sites daily.....nuttin!

Today the kid working the counter at sportsmans warehouse told me he was pretty sure they have some in their latest delivery....but they aren't going to put it out till tomorrow, maybe.

Frustrating to say the least.

I've got 1/2# of Sport Pistol and that's it for pistol powder.

Anyone wanna join my new curling team. I've never tried it but it does involve projectiles and big freakin' bullseye's.

reduced to throwing rocks.......

See my earlier post....
Went back to sportsmans warehouse this morning to see if they unloaded their truck and had some "Magic Dust" (yes, that is a Cheech & Chong reference).

Low and behold they had a hand written list of 5-6 types of powder available and at the bottom was the one I wanted...Winchester 231 Ball Powder! could this be real! So I wait for the guy in front of me to talk to the counter guy and he gleefully says I'll take some of that 231....

I quickly piped up and said "Bring Two!!"

I was crushed when he returned and handed the the lucky ******* the last 1# jug. He turned around and sheepishly said "Sorry sir....."
I told him he didn't need to apologize for the score and that I was glad to see someone has able to get some.

So during my lunch break I decided to start checking a few websites and I knew I was just wasting time....

So here I sit waiting for the 2#'s of 231 to be delivered from MidwayUSA next week.
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

So the UPS guy delivered my 2# of 231 powder yesterday.

My wife said he walked up the drive way glancing at the "Explosive" label on the box and then at the door. she said we set the box down VERY gently, rand the door bell and then speed walked back to his truck while casting a wary glance at the house when my petite wife walked out and picked up the box. She gave him the mandatory Thank You wave....
He sat there and stared with his jaw in his lap.

Musta been a new guy on my route.

Its out there but it goes quick, especially at popular places like powder valley.

Here was my latest haul, not from powder valley because they never seem to have more than two powders that I need at a time.

check powder valley,I lucked into 5 lbs of alliant 2700 and only 27.99 a lb

OK, since no one else has asked, WTH is Alliant 2700??? It isn't on the Alliant web site! Did you mean 2400? Heck of a typo.

I decided I wanted to reload some 410 Skeet shells, but when I checked my "vast" supply of powders there wasn't a single grain or kernel of the H110 that was strongly recommended for me to use (by people who know a lot more than me.) After I struck out at all my normal sources I stopped in a little roadside shop a bit further South than my usual haunts. When I asked whether he had any powder, he responded not much, just what's on that shelf over there. All he had was five 1# canisters of (wait for it) H110! :D

It was priced at $42.99 a pound so I only got one of them, but now my little 410 OU will be able to speak once again. Life is good!

I’ve ordered an 8 lbs jug of H110 directly from hodgdon $32/lbs - not bad nowadays.

I just bought an 8 lb jug of H110 here in Charleston. I think I spent $230 after my mil discount applied. Not bad since this is my go-to 500 powder

Are you saying 2700 is interchangeable with 2400? I once had a pound of 2700. (Still have an ounce or two left.) Seems I used it for light bullets in the '06.

I believe that was humor. I got a good chuckle from the comment..l

I just picked up a pound each of IMR3031 and IMR4064 along with 500 CCI LRP at the Pahrump, NV, Walmart. They also had IMR4831 and Tite Group, but I didn’t need any. $28 per pound for IMR, $20 for Tite Group and $4.68 per 100 primers.
