Prayer Works!

To all my fellow s&w gun owners here our prayers do work.

I'm living proof my 8.+ on my prostate cancer which is a considered a high number. My prostate cancer is so low they can't measure it.

The doctors and the lab techs at the cancer center I owe my life to, but let's not forget your support and prayers I received from you people here.

I owe you all a big thanks too.

I never let having cancer bother me or get me down. I'm not afraid to die when the time comes. We all have a date with Destiny.

Cancer can ravage my body but it can't touch my spirit/soul.

I beat you cancer. It's the one battle in our lives we can win early detection is the key. Get your prostate checked it's just a blood test.

I gained a few pounds back and it feels ok.

Congratulations! Welcome to the club. I'm 41 years out from my cure, so if I may, as a senior member, offer some advice. It's over, you won. It's good to be alert but, don't waste a lot of time looking back or anticipating trouble. Life is in front of you, go for it, savor it, drink it to the dregs, cherish it. You won. Good job. Also, keep praying. I'll say one of thanksgiving for you.

Best, Joe

and here I thought you found several bricks of 22 and a few kegs of 231 and Unique.
but I guess being cancer free will have to do ..
Congrats and don't waste it.

Fantastic news, Prayers and Faith are amazing things.

Here's to many more happy years.

God Bless

Prayer gets you through Philippians 4.13 Jesus strengthens me Philippians 4:13New International Version (NIV)

Rusty, it just doesn't get much better than that. Yes prayer works. I'm living proof - 6 years out and going strong. I honestly believe the other part of the equation is that positive attitude. Keep it up and best to you.

I am quite glad for you. ;)

However, your title and some posts here are simply squeezing me into an awkward position, caught between the rules and a hard place.

The rules have religion listed as a banned topic.
We don't allow doctrinal discussion, and we don't allow proselytizing.

You all know we allow prayer requests.
That is something of a dichotomy that is usually not too hard to deal with, but there have been some problems. Some self-declared atheists have used that prayer concession to express their views. When we have forbidden that, they retort with the fact we allow the prayer requests. Some have not been able to accept the fact that we make that indulgence and continued to espouse their views at times after being warned.
They were banned.

One of them could say, rightfully, that the title of this thread is a doctrinal statement, or even proselytizing.
"Thanks for the prayers" would have passed.

We walk a fine line here.
You all need to think about what you have here.
Stick to prayer requests.
Please don't ever push me into a policy change.
