My daughter, Cari, age 35, suddenly went deaf in her right ear last November. A specialist told her that due to a congenital condition her skull was resting on a hollow bone in her ear that transmits sound to the brain and had broken it. One of the symptoms she had prior to the deafness was she could hear her heart beating and blood pulsing in her head. Every beat all the time. Since she has had this all her life, she thought it was normal and everyone experienced it. Friday, July 7th, she underwent brain surgery. They removed part of her skull and moved her brain aside to repair the broken bone. They then grafted a bone to the skull to hold it where it should be and to keep it from resting on the bone again. They then replaced the part of the skull they removed. She was in the Neuro Critical Care ward until this evening when she was transferred to a regular room. She is having excruciating headaches partially controlled by Morphine and Dilaudid. She no longer hears her heart beating or the blood pulsating. She is very dizzy because the ear is adjusting to the repair. Both of these are good signs. I am asking you to pray for her recovery and a reduction in her pain. Thank you in advance for your help. You are good people.
