Way to.go. What is the serial number if u don't mind me asking?
Wow. Congrats! My grail gun. Did you put an ad in the local paper?
Wow! Lucky you and congrats. I think it's great when someone who really appreciates old guns brings one back into the fold.
The way I see it if it is marked mod 19 it is a model 19. If it isn't marked then it is a Combat Magnum. No such thing as a non model marked model 19, seeing how the Combat Magnum becacame the Model 19 by being marked as such.Love old Combat Magnums...Very nice catch
IIRC thats in the area of "Non Model marked Model 19" with possibility of shipping in early 58.
CM's in that range have the cylinder face and yoke serial # stamp but the ejector rod shroud serial apparently had been abandoned .
The Combat Masterpiece was .38 Special. The Combat Magnum later became the Model 19.The way I see it if it is marked mod 19 it is a model 19. If it isn't marked then it is a Combat Masterpiece. Has that cylinder been cut for moon clips? What is that on the face of the cylinder?
