I would like to put a smooth combat trigger on my pre 27. Are there any available? Would a model 28 trigger fit?

Triggers for the K, L, and N frame will interchange, within the same time period.

When you say "smooth combat trigger", are you referring to the smooth faced .312" wide trigger? If so, you can place a Want to Buy in our Classifieds.

I shoot 95% double action with my revolvers, with the trigger in the distal joint of my finger. I find the wide, grooved trigger uncomfortable when shot this way. The .312 smooth faced like on my 686is much better.

Put a smooth trigger on a 1950s "357 Magnum?" Who would do such a thing?

Smooth triggers

Many years ago, ( 1950's) when I was affiliated with REX Firearms we routinely had revolvers come in from the factory with smooth triggers. And of course we would customize on the spot by changing hammers, triggers and stocks on the spot.

On guns I use for any competition double action shooting I grind the serrations out of the triggers and polish.

I thought of that, but wanted to keep the original trigger in case I (God forbid) needed to sell it someday.
