As a rough guesstimate, what would a 1955 vintage pre-27, 70%, nickel, 3 1/2 inch barrel be worth?

It's not mine. Someone asked about it on another board, and the prices he was given (675 for an 80% gun) seemed kinda low. Fella giving the values said he pulled 'em out of the Blue Book, but Blue Book don't always stay with what the market is doing.

70% nickel, yuck! $500, and I'm not sure I'd pay that.

Without pictures it's hard to say, but in Nickle 3 1/2" guns are in reality selling for closer to $800+. It's nuts, shouldn't be that much, but people are paying it and more.

You're right, bad pics. It appears that the trigger and hammer are plated rather than case colored (warning). It has the wrong grips too. Can't tell the condition.

Thanks, Chad. I missed the hammer and trigger. Gettin' sloppy in my dotage, I guess.
