Pre 27 with a LONG Tube (Picture Heavy)

Very nice, Michael!

I have a 6 1/2" pre-27, but have been thinkin' about trackin' down a looooooooooooong tube RM as I have two 4 inchers now, which seems sorta redundant. (Then again, maybe I just need to get a fancy double holster rig by Alphonsos of Hollywood to wear 'em in style.)

Interesting how popularity changes. I betcha when Wyatt Earp was on TV with his buntline special everybody wanted long bbls!

Outstanding photography and subject Michael!

I'll trade you a similar condition Pre 27 with a shorter tube

You nailed it with this set of shots! Awesome.

Beautiful gun. What is not highly sought after now will be tomorrow's gold rush. Don't do something you will regret later.

This only seems appropriate in this thread. Here are my two pre27's 8 3/8". The bottom one appears to have never been fired, but handled a bit. The top one is a heavily worked over target gun.

Now that's beautiful. I just returned from a weekend long family reunion and great gun to return to.
Thanks for sharing.

That just gives me goose bumps all over. That's my favorite gun. My long tube Pre 27 is a bit older than yours and is my favorite shooter. Not the quality of yours but it ticks like a Swiss clock.

BTT as this quality of revolver doesn't show up every day. It deserves a little more scrutiny before being relegated to the back pages or the search engine.

Thank you for your compliment.

I know this may be funny, but it is indeed true, the black reflective surface that I use to photograph guns is the top of my A/V stand that holds my DVR, DVD player, etc.

Here is a link to an older post where I tried to explain my process:

I hope that helps.

Thanks again.
