probably an old episode but I just caught it....auction hunting in alaska and they found a 500 with 2x Leupold scope and a Pre 29 with later smooth targets on it....Allen spun the cylinder real fast and flipped it shut..."NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! He really didnt just do that????????!!!!!!

But, it was refreshing to hear the "expert" appraise the Pre29 higher than the big bad 500....figured it would be the other way around on TV.

Because they knew the 500 had the Internal Lock!!...................sorry couldn't resist, I hate that darn I.L. That said a Ruger 454 Casull, or a .50 Desert Eagle are my personal choices for big-bore's. Next down to those is my 629-4 PC 44 Magnum.

I stopped the episode right after he did it and gasped. My wife looked up from her Ipad and I ran it back for her. She knew enough from what I talk about that it was bad juju to do that.

goons.

When he was pointing it at an angle over the camera with the cylinder open, I knew what was coming and yelled "No...DON'T". He did. Some adults really do need supervision.

There is evidence that this show is "staged". I Googled "Is Auction Hunters fake or staged" and got quite a bit of hits discussing the apparent "luck" of these two guys. It's a good read.
