Pretty sure it is a 1953 pre-34 kit gun. Excellent condition, no box but have a Bianchi 5B labeled Kit Gun! Bluing is like new. Serial is 6xxxx.

Thing is, I don’t need safe queens and since I found a 37, that’s my kit gun. Heresy, I know.

Can’t find any for sale or a record of one being sold, but I’d like to know the market value.

That’s correct, a Model of 1953 New style I frame with a 3 screw side plate from between 1955 and 1958. $700 to $900 depending on the market at your location where you sell it.

Nice gun from what I can see in the photo.

In my area that would go for ~$1,100. I spoke with a dealer at a LGS that specializes in 34’s and 63’s. He said at one time he owned nearly 40 of them and now only one. People are buying them up and not turning loose of them. He had 2 very clean 34-1 2” he had priced at $1,300 and I’ve seen them sell for as high as $1,600.

I bought my nickel 34-1 probably 10 years ago and paid $700 and paid the same a year ago for a 63 no dash that someone had attempted to polish. Fortunately they hadn’t messed up the roll marks so I was able to restore the brushed finish to near factory new.

You have a very nice example and I frames are scarce in my area.

I bought a pre-34 at an antique bottle show in Jackson,Ms. last Friday. Mine is a 4" round butt with diamond insert grips. It has four plate screws and a flat cylinder release. All serial numbers match including the right grip panel. I'm guessing condition is about 90-95%. Price was $650.00. I haven't done any research on it yet.
