I've seen it posted the pre Model 41s have recieved a level of fit and finish the later models did not. Can anyone expand on specifically what fit and finish work was done on these early examples later A prefix models did not recieve? For those that have shot them, does this extra fit and finish result in a more accurate or reliable gun? Also I am also wondering what the earliest known regular production example is? I've read production started in 57' with #1401.

I was underbidder on a NIB 41-1 today. It wasn't meant to be. Maybe I can find one with a little more experience on it which I would actually shoot anyway.

I find the 41s interesting as many of you do aslo.
