pre-model 10 question

I was trying to find out if a pre-model 10,2 in barrel with the round butt is rare?i always see them with the square butt when I do see them,and when you find the gold boxes they seem to always read square butt on them.thanks curt.

What is the SN, also need to publish some pictures. It may even pre-date the Pre-Model 10. Do you have the gold box?
