Sorry you have to pass, but that one is a mix-master anyway. The ramp front sight has already been pointed out as not being from the prewar period. But the hammer is certainly a long action, putting the frame date prior to early 1948. Moreover, the threaded hammer pivot stud is inconsistent with an M&P revolver shipping later than about April, 1946. I'm convinced the barrel has been swapped on this one. A 4", 5" or 6" barrel was replaced by the 2" barrel. The extractor rod also had to be changed.
