Pre model 10 work

I have a Pre model 10 that I'd like to have a little work done on. The fixed sights need to be regulated as it shoots a little to the right. Also, there is a little bit of endshake that I would like corrected before it gets worse. This is a shooter grade gun, but at the same time I wouldn't mind spending a little money on it to get it refurbed. Will S&W do work on old revolvers like this? If so, do you think it would be a worthwhile candidate for sending in?

The endshake I know I could fix myself, but being as that I also need the sights regulated, I'm thinking about just sending it back to the mothership for some TLC.
