Pre- Model 27, pinned front sight

The grips were made by Bob Leskovec at Precision Pro Grips, 5142 Hardt Rd., Gibsonia, Pennsylvania 15044.
Phone # 724-449-8360. Had him make me a set of Magna grips like the ones Elmer Keith had on his Model 29 Smith with the carved steerhead on the right side. For me they are very confortable to shoot & handle recoil very well. Bob was a great guy to work with and can make the grips to your liking and age them if you want (mine are in antique ivory). And they REALLY dress up an old Sixgun!

Front sights on guns that are blued or completely nickel plated are pinned on too. It's just that the pins are finished flush with the rib prior to bluing/plating. In the case of the nickel plated gun with blue sights, the pins have radiused ends due to the sight being installed after the rest of the gun was plated. The pins could not be finished flush without damaging the plating.
