pre Model 39 Teaser

There have been at least three "drive bys" in the last week or so, i.e. new guys post "one and done" about interesting Model 39 or pre-39 pistols and then disappear. I hope they sent for archive letters and are just waiting to receive them before coming back. Otherwise, what's the point?

At any rate, below is the mag well of a very early pistol. Why would it be marked in such an inconspicuous manner?

Hello Kevin, yea they seem to land and then take off.
Last letter looks like a double stamp. "C"?
Just show a pic of the left side.

Never tried. Nice lookin early pre.
