Are the Pre War K and N Triggers interchangeable ?
Will a Pre War M&P , or a Victory trigger work in a
large frame N 44 Model ?
I can't remember this info.. I haven't found it yet in the Kuhnhausen Book..
Any info regarding this is much appreciated..
Thanks..

They are interchangeable to a certain extent. When the first hammer block was introduced the trigger was changed to a type that had only one hand pin hole (no hole for the hand lever pin). The tension on the hand was achieved via part of the hammer block. When they went to the second type of hammer block, they went back to a trigger that had holes in it for the hand pin and the hand lever pin. The trigger with only one hand pin hole will NOT work.

You have to have one that has two holes for hand pins. Victory triggers will work but are very rough. Post WW2 modern triggers will work also. Some may require minor fitting.

This may provide you with more information.

Once upon a time, I fitted a 1990s era .312" smooth trigger into a 1907 .32-20.

The .312 smooth Triggers are a def improvement on the feel of the trigger , esp if you bevel the edges on both sides. If you shoot much you'll definitely notice the difference on finger fatigue and practically eliminates finger soreness..
