Does anyone actually use the tools that came in the pres. cases?
Seems to me they have value only to collectors. I'm sure most of us use better cleaning rods and screwdrivers.
And as for the presentation boxes. I have 2 with tattered or bare inserts , though the boxes are in decent shape. I know Mr. Cebull does a nice relining.
And since my guns are shooters , in slightly less than 100% shape , with aftermarket grips that don't fit the inserts anyway , I've been thinking about doing them up like the presentation cases Colt put their percussion revolvers in. Partitioning them up with some 3/8thk mahogany and felt lining. Maybe a solid block with cartridge holes or , for the Dirty Harry fans , a block with repro badge and 3 speedloaders?
