From my own experience, I really like it when I can get
"all" the stuff that came with my gun; i.e., box, papers, tools, etc.

I have purchased and restored several presentation cases but I seldom run across one in it's original shipping carton.

Well, I recently picked up a nice presentation case for a 4" Nickel Mod. 29-2 including the cardboard shipping box. Serial number on the shipping box label is for N130655, probably shipped in late 1973 or early 1974. The shipping carton is in great shape, the presentation case exterior is perfect and the interior has been restored nicely.

If I don't use it myself, I'll probably list the case and box for sale at some point but thought I'd check first to see if anyone here owns the gun and would like to work a deal for the case that was shipped for it.

If you have Model 29-2, Nickel, 4", Ser. # N130655, and are interested in these extras, send me a pm and we can talk.

I particularly like the refurbished cases when the liners are done with the time period correct color, material and/or flocking.

I'll second that! Don't pay any attention to my avitar. Red crushed velvet just doesn't cut it........
I keep it to remind me why I don't want to do that again.

all the goodies

I'm picking up my 29-2 8 3/8 blue beauty in the morning. It's a nbf, comes with all the goodies; paper work, tools. mahogony presentation case, and the original shipping carton!

29-2 case

I have a case for 29-2 8 3/8" that needs a new blue liner. Can you give a ball park value?
Got it years ago from a friend that sold his 29.

I've bought several this year (including a couple of cases for the 8 3/8" barrel). I usually get them for around $50 (+-) depending on condition. More if they have the tools and paperwork. Fully restored cases are worth around $100 or so. Member jcelect restores cases so contact him if you want to pursue that route.

If you are interested in selling, send me a pic and let me know.
Thanks,
Craig
