I have a set of K/L presentation target grips in my box that I picked up in a group grip buy, and am having a hard time trying to remember what they might fit. I can think of numerous N frame guns that have presentation grips on them, but the K/L's are escaping me. What K/L framed guns came with target smooth presentation grips on them? Also, were there any that came with magna style presentation grips? TIA...

There are a lot of police commemorative K-frames that used the presentation grips (defined as having a cut-out on both grip panels so as not to obscure any commemorative marking on the side plate).

Here is a PASP 75th anniversary commemorative...

From the factory, these mostly came on commemorative or special order guns (50th anniversary of Highway Patrol/Police, etc.). The one example that came with Magna stocks that I can recall was the Georgia State Police model 26-1, but there are probably others.

I acquired this 1978-vintage 66-1 new in the box in 2006. It came with a nice set of smoothies. The label says "TS" for the stocks - whether this means "target stocks" or "target-special or smooth" I'm not schooled enough to know, but they sure are beautiful.

Indeed the Texas Rangers Commemorative was a Model 19-3 and it also had the smooth presentation stocks but they did not wear S&W medallions but rather the Star of the Texas Rangers right there on each stock. Pretty cool!

These aren't presentation grips, with the right side cut out, just smooth targets. I like the look of the lighter grips on a stainless gun.

I don't know for a fact that these came on my 1975 5" 27-2 or not but I'm guessing that they did.
