This set of stocks came to me late last year. They are N frame smooth presentation stocks with football relief and (I think) silver washers. I think they are walnut, but not certain. The original finish, if any, has been removed and if the washers were black then that color may have been removed too. Dunno. The stocks are bone dry. They are very thick, too. Any insight or speculation about wood species, approx years of mfg, and why they are so darn thick is welcome. My plan is to wipe them with BLO and go shooting.
