I just bought myself a new computerized pressure cooker and am looking forward to making some new recipes. Going to do Curry Coconut Chicken
on New Years Eve.
Never used one of these until this afternoon and I am amazed at how easy it can be.
Any one else out there have one of these? Recipes to share?

My wife got one for Christmas. A Geek Chef, 8 quart, and shaped like an oval crockpot.
The first thing was a turkey breast. About 5 pounds & it was half frozen. When it came out after an hour-ish, the meat was falling off the bone and I couldn't slice it. Very tender.
Had a lentil soup last night. Took about 45 minutes from start to finish. Even the toddler ate it.
Had a chicken, broccoli, & bacon soup tonight. All the kiddos got seconds on it. Same time, about 45 minutes.
We're still learning but it seems to work well. Add ingredients, set timer, let it do it's thing. It does cut down on the cook time and with lots of kiddos, that's a good thing.
We are pleased so far.

Is this one that can also be used like a crockpot for low and slow all day cooking? Since I do the majority of the cooking, that might give me some new recipes and methods to try.

Yes it can be used as a crockpot and you can also pull out the insert or "pot" like a crockpot. The insert is Teflon coated, but I am not sure how it will last with use. Never been a fan of teflon coated anything.
It has pre-sets for pretty much anything you want to cook. It has some settings we will probably never use but nice to have if we want to experiment. Found it on Amazon for less. We liked it as it was oval like a crockpot vs. being round.

I don't have one but remember my moms big pressure cooker click clacking top of 1950's gas stove. Chicken and dumplings , stew or pot roast, my sister has it put away somewhere

I have one. Pulled pork, sweet potatoes, green beans, beef roasts, use it all the time! Just used it to make black eyed peas. Any dried beans only take 25 minutes. Use chicken broth, finely chopped onion and celery, some side meat, salt and pepper is basic recipe I use for all tried beans! Enjoy

I make Hungarian Paprika Chicken in our pressure cooker quite often. Super easy to make and served over rice or noodles. We have a Fissler which is like a traditional cooker but without the old timebomb rocker weight on top mom had back in the day.

Been using one for a few months now. Ours is an 8 quart with the non-stick coating and it's holding up well. Some of our favorites are cabbage with sausage made with V8 picante, orange chicken, beef pot roast, and pork tenderloin.

I bought one but wife isn’t interested in it. I thought being we both work we could whip up something healthy/hearty in less time but...... It may be going back.

I would try it on your night to cook. Probably after she sees the conveniences of using it, she will change her mind.

I still have the original type and it works just fine when I make Brazilian Beans. We really enjoy them.
