"Sen. Charles Schumer says retailers that sell assault weapons should stop offering them for purchase while Congress discusses gun regulation legislation…."

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in board rooms of Smith-Wesson, Ruger, etc.

I'm really at a loss for words. How could any of the LGS, retailers, distributors, and manufacturers support this request?

Check out the smile on his face.

The GALL and outward HOSTILITY to a LEGAL US business and a

PROFIT making one presently, both for the companies and their stockholders is truly amazing!

What do you expect from a jerk who has NEVER worked a day in his life? He went straight from school to politics, he never practiced law a day. He's also famous for being a press hound, he'll say or do whatever he thinks gets him favorable air time.

Senator Schumer took his lead from Snooki and the Kardashiens - say or do anything that will get him air time. Pathetic.

Let me think...

1) The evil threesome (Cuomo, Bloomberg & Schumer).
2) High taxes (some of the highest in the nation).
3) California's ugly little sister.
4) Dysfunctional state gub'mint.
5) Huge state deficit.
6) Crumbling state infrastructure.
7) Deep, Dark Blue.
8) The Wefare State
9) New York City
10) Restrictive gun laws.

11) A job that would transfer me to ANY STATE IN THE COUNTRY!

Can somebody please explain to me why the hell I'm still in New York?!

Dear Senator Schumer,

You have asked retailers to stop selling firearms while Congress discusses gun regulation; but happily deposit your check while Congress avoids discussing financial reform and budgets.

I don't expect you to understand the hypocrisy of this, but there is one thing you should understand - people are voting with their wallets right now.

See you next election cycle (Please reference the 1994 firearms ban and subsequent elections if that statement eludes you also).

Sincerely,

TStick

Someone in NY must like Chuck. He keeps getting re elected.

He's a great example of why we need term limits. Under the current rules, people like Chucky get in office and become a cancer on American politics for decades. It's disgusting.

Schumer is the king of unethical pork, he brings a lot of money into the Unions and Schister's pockets in NY, of course he's popular. He's wiped the board with opponents in past elections.

He's also smart, he makes it a point to visit every county in NY yearly. He's the only NY politician to do that. I dislike him intensely, but to say he does not understand the game or is not good at it is wrong.

All the gunshops around here have ZERO semi-auto's for sale, with none in the pipeline. If they get their hands on any, they're being sold, the $$$$$ are too lucrative. Schumer is mugging for the camera's as he always does.

Bob Dole said the most dangerous place in D.C. was between
Schumer and the camera.

Our State Office holders are meeting as I right this discussing an assault weapons ban and adding everything they can think of. I called my two Reps. plus the Senate Minority leader and expressed that their jobs depend on the way this vote plays out. Please call and write your Reps. if you live in NY. This is the fight of our lives and it effects ALL gun owners in this State. If this passes I'll be looking to move out of this State right after I retire.

Ah, see that ^^^^^^^^^. Beat to the punch again.

Chuckie Schumer is the most strident of all the gun banners. He will do anything to ban guns and isn't shy about saying it. He's one of those Senators that have gotten a seat for life along with Diane Feinstein.

Where do we go to get away from gun banners? The former Soviet Union? I hate to say it but I'm on the retirement schedule in a few years and I would have liked to retire near or in Ocean City NJ because it's one of my favorite places and I have friends that live near there. I wouldn't be able to take about 99% of my guns with me and my CCW is not valid in NJ nor is it possible for me to get one there because I'm not rich and famous or know any politicians.

It's time to stand and fight and stop letting a strident vocal minority dictate to the rest of us how we should live and conduct our lives. The reason most of us carry firearms is because the criminal justice system has been an abject failure.

Hillbilly77....um maybe to cold up north had affected you brains power to make rational diecisons about which way is the best way to exit the state, umm just dont go north....8)

Where do we go to get away from gun banners?

The southeast (great place to live), Texas, many western states. I really believe many of the red states will draw a line in the sand over this issue. They've been force fed about all the leftest **** they are going to take.

great point, meanwhile,no new news about atty general holder and his fast and furious program,he still collects a nice fat paycheck.

How many laws already on the books where broken with this?
How many victims? And the elitist got away with it!

These guys are all just grandstanding in an attempt to improve their individual political carears by pandering to the lowest common denominators, emotions and fear.

Lets face it, their constituents seem to agree with their liberal (that is liberal with our rights) agenda, and no amount of logical discussion will sway them.

When they use phrases like "begin a national dialogue," they just mean an arena in which they can spout their beliefs unopposed.

It really is a waste of time complaining about them. The time is better spent planning a defense.

It is going to be a rough road buckle up.

Come to New Hampshire "Live Free or Die" CCW is easy to get...no felonys....you got it. But I agree, we all have to stand up for our rights....If it came down to taking our guns away....I would rather be on this side of the fence than be on the "trying to take" side of the fence.....better odds. They can not take what we will not give them. Banning Guns is easy to do...taking them will be like an unarmed man trying to take a kill away from a kodiak bear in the spring time....wont be pretty. The law may say he has to give it up....now convince the bear.

The southeast (great place to live), Texas,

My best friend Gina is orginally from Texas. We've been discussing Texas as a place of refuge for our families. I just don't want to move somewhere that I know anything about and I don't know anyone just to get away from blue staters. I live in PA and we're pretty adamant about gun rights much to the chagrin of the lefties in Philly and Pittsburgh. It's the city folk really that are trying to impose their failed ideas upon the rest of us. We would do just fine without those folks and probably much better at that because all our tax dollars would't be sucked up like a vacuum cleaner to feed their incessant and corrupt political machines.

Pennsylvania is a northeast state that hasn't followed the lead of the socialist states of NY,NJ, CT,LI, DE, MD especially on guns. We fought Eddie "I neve met a tax I didn't like and a gun I wouldn't ban" Rendell to the mat and won on all issues involving guns despite his leftist power base in Philadelphia. We even gave him a pretty good shiner on taxes too! He's gone and the current admin is a decisively pro 2nd amendment supporter. Maybe we can move the shoreline up to PA instead me having to go to NJ to get to the beach. Wish the global baloney was true and the shore would move up to PA. Can't go to Jersey with any of my guns.

Someday Pennsylvania's going to be beachfront, last years hurricane is just a taste of some rising waters.

Texas sounds like a great place to me-too bad I'm a northerner. Just gonna have to make my stand in knee deep snow. Kinda over-dramatic, I know
