I know we all plan or go on a diet now and then if we think it is a good thing per our idea or the spouse gets the idea.

Well tonight we had a healthy Taco salad with salsa and lite sour cream
since there was no salad dressing tonight..................
some one forgot to pick it up while shopping.

With the low cal. meal I figured I could grab a small bite of desert out of the fridge..................
ah, that was no where to be found either.

Pretty bad when you have to grab a single mini Halloween chocolate snack, on the way to the back room to let you people know how things are going in my house !!

Bummer man.............

Good to stay on a diet I had a relapse and back on now , lay off the white bread , anything potato and fried food in other words anything good. I picked up a bunch of Halloween chocolates co worker brought to work . After thinking about my blood sugar put it back but a couple accidently got into my mouth

Knocking on wood, pun intended, but I weigh around the same as I did when I was 30...170 to 175, I'm 5'11. The weight has moved around some thou!

I live for potato's, and fried food. Had a KFC one piece extra crispy breast meal today.

Since I got divorced I live on fast food, fish sticks, chicken nuggets, and fries. Lot of TV dinners too. I always have enough fish my dad catches to last me a year, I'll bake up a mess with butter, paprika, and Old Bays blackened powder, a small can of mixed peas, and carrots, and a couple frozen hash browns. That's the only thing I cook that I consider a meal.

In the winter I get some home cooking once a week at my folks winter place. Usually deep fried fish my dad caught that morning, or breakfast...my favorite. Scrambled eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy.

Well I've been on a see food diet. Lost a bit in the last month. Bout 10 lbs. Want to lose 30 more. But my sister came for a week or so and brought a honey baked ham..mmmm good. 2 days ago I got the urge and made some soup with the bone etc. Used dried limas we grew and some fresh maters we had ripening in the back room/entry. Our taters and onions. couple of bought'n celery stalks. Momma made cornbread and we just kinda chowed down. Glad I've been cutting and splitting wood pretty steady lately. Being outside is good for ya

I weighed 158.6# last Sunday morning, my official weigh in day. On August 11 this year, I weighed 183.4#, and am or was 5'9" tall.

Back in August I was talking to a guy and a church dinner, and he was telling me how he had lost weight and I decided if he could lose it I could.

I am down to where I want to be now, and I want to keep it off. I feel much better. I just eat less than I did, and lots of salads.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

It is a struggle to drop the pounds. I dropped 10 and hung around there for a while. Now I'm moving on to the next 5 and I'll see what happens. Good luck to all

I dropped about 18lbs on the Keto diet and only have about 4 more pounds to go. If some people really have trouble losing weight even when they eat small amounts of healthy food like I was, I would recommend the Keto diet. It's pretty easy and you can eat meat, bacon, fish, poultry, cheese, and butter and have about all the green leafy vegetables you want and never be very hungry.

Due to type II diabetes, I went on a low carb, high healthy fat diet to avoid having to take lots of nasty meds. I was 230 when diagnosed. I was initially on meds and dropped to 190. I quit the meds and changed my diet and I was 169 this morning. No sugar, bread, pasta, potatoes, corn or other starchy veggies. Blood sugar stays under 120. I also walk between 3 and 5 miles a day.

Very similar to what I am on!

I was told by cardiologist that I could possibly cure my AF if I lost 30 lbs.
That was serious motivation for me.

WE EAT TOO MUCH.
I lost 15 lbs by portion control within weeks. I didn't give up anything and didn't change my lifestyle.
I filled my plate like always and then put a spoonful or two back into the pot. My stomach began to contract and then I was full quickly and didn't want anymore. Smaller bowls worked well. I then got into always leaving a bite or two on my plate.

I was so amazed at how denying myself nothing had caused such a change I went to the next step.
I got the other 20 lbs off by going NO White = no salt, no sugar, no bread, no rice, no pasta, no white potatoes. My protein is fish, chicken, and turkey. I found options for all the foods I dropped. I discovered I liked almond flour better than white flower.

I used to have a baaaddddd sweet tooth . I had my gallbladder out a month ago , and pretty much lost my taste for sweets . I also pretty much stick to no snacks during the day . A nasty way to lose weight , 15 lb.s , and keep it off , but I'm above ground . Daglockman , I stopped 34+ years ago , and I lost 10-15 lb.s pretty quick . Amazing how that happens when you stop , isn't it ?
