Pretty sure I'm done . . .

It is 11:24 pm local time. I'm definitely done (for the day)...unless I see something really good in the classified threads in the next 36 minutes!

Model 12 and then one really good shooter with a half moon front sight, Indiana Jones look and era about it. Toss in a flap holster and done…or try at least. Nice collection!

I always think that I am done! Who am I kidding? I do not have any multiples. Have only 1 revolver that is not a Smith. Look at Armslist daily. Have something for sale/trade on Armslist most of the time. The hunt for something new/different is a rush for me. A .44 is my next conquest. Bob

Ok , you have a nice herd.

The obvious gaps :

A full size .22lr. As noted , you don'y have to be a bullseye competitor, practice , plinking , or even small game are plenty of reasons.

Somthing with 6 or 6.5in bbl

You didn't specify , but if you don't have somthing in old school Nickle , you need one.

And are you really, really sure about avoiding big bores ? They needen't involve heavy recoil if you don't wish. .44Spl , .45acp/ar , and .45Colt are inherently mild . And .41 and .44mags cam be mid range loaded.

I'm finished too! Unless I see something else I like, I've quit several times.:(

That's always my problem. I don't have anything I'm "looking" for, but out of the blue I spot something I want. When my wife asks me why I want it, I just tell her, "Because I don't have one." :D

Different strokes and all of that.

The Model 17 is the No. 2 most important handgun on the place. Gotta have a quality .22 revolver.

Glaring omissions:

a K Frame .22 (17, 18, 617). These are some of the best plinkers ever created. Hopefully .22 lr will one day become readily available again.

an L Frame gun - the 686 is most common, but how about a 681 or 581?

a big bore N Frame - I am partial to the .45 ACP guns (1917, 25, 26, 625) but any big bore will do.

If you include autos, you should get a Model 41, too. A couple of 3rd gens would also be nice.

I have never owned an L frame. Or an M frame for that matter.

I don't currently have a revolver with a lock.

Or one with an unpinned barrel.

Never had a factory engraved S&W.

Um...I think I'm out at this point.

Oh, and I have numerous multiples.

Muss, glad you have made your decision. Takes courage to stand up and say, "I am done". Good job. (ok, one less guy to have to compete for Smiths)lol

I recommend Crisis Intervention Counseling as soon as possible. This is a serious condition but very curable.

Numerous multiples? But you're not a collector! :D

IT AINT OVER TILL THEY ARE SHOVELING DIRT IN YOUR FACE.

Maybe you are just taking a pause to reflect before going off on another tact with a vengeance. Vintage Belgian Browning's/ Winchester/savage levers, O/U or SxS shotguns, single shots. Lot's of stuff to collect & little time. More time shooting regularly/competitively & reloading for what you already have would keep you extremely busy, OR there is ALWAYS the dreaded Honeydo list.

I'm never done!! Only my wife tells me I'm done. It's the biggest disagreement we have and I seem to be losing. She just doesn't seem to understand!

I told myself I was done about 20 revolvers ago. The pawn shops have been very good to me the last couple of years.;)
