~M28, thanks for your support. Some folks are just contentious by nature and I try not to pigeonhole 'em until I'm pretty sure I'm pissing up a rope instead of having a reasoned discussion.

I don't track a lot of guns, just ones I have owned, currently own, or lusted after. The 686 Plus snubby fits the last two criteria for me.

Hey allglock, I think we are neighbors. I'm in SE PA too, Springfield, Delco. I've been watching your adds on PAFOA for a while, you had some nice J frames for sale

Anyway, I can help a bit here. I have bought three of this exact same model over the last year or so. The first one I probably paid too much, I really wanted one and hadn't seen one for sale in a while. The other two I think were more the going price at the time. All three I bought from GB. Here's my data:

3/07 - $715
3/07 - $599 (yes, right after I bought the first one I found this one at a much more reasonable price)
1/08 - $585
