Price on a model 29

At the local Gander Mountain I noticed a few very nice S&W in the used gun counter, a 4506 for 499 and a nice looking model 29 but the price seemed really high at 975. Am I wrong?

If the 29 is new that is about right,I just put a used nickel 29 in lay a way for less than $600 I dont remember the exact price for the gun cuz I put a case and a few other things in lay a way with it.
