Just wondering what the Sigma and SD go for in your area? I bought my 40VE about 14 months ago for $309 which was the regular price at the time. I haven't been keeping up with current prices on Sigmas but had seen the new SD for $379 back around Christmas. I'm sure that was a sale price. Anyhow, I was at the gun store yesterday (where I got my 40VE) and the price on the Sigma was a whopping $359!!!!?? The SD was $399. $40 difference? I'm confused, I thought the Sigma was about $80-$100 cheaper and used to be from what I have seen. I don't understand why the price was jacked up on the Sigma. I did ask a guy behind the counter if that price was accurate and he said YES. He said nothing was really on sale right now and won't be for a while. So I said well, why are you asking $360 for a $300 gun? I could tell he was annoyed.

Shoot, if you were going to buy a Sigma from that store, scrape up another $40 and get the SD.

I have a feeling my local gun stores are raising prices on everything. First you couldn't find ammo and what was found was priced so high you couldn't afford it. Then the drought was over and prices dropped like a rock. 9mm was $8.50, .40 was $11.99. But now the prices are creeping back up. The cheapest 9mm I can find at these stores is $10.99 and .40 is $13.99. I think they are not making the profit they were like last year and have realized it. Plenty of ammo in stock now, lower the price! Not the other way around. I usually keep an eye on the prices of a bunch of their guns and everything was cheap for a while but not anymore. Glocks used to be $499 everyday, now $529. M&P's were $479, now $509. Are Sigmas still around $300 in your area? I saw it advertised a week or two ago at Academy sports for $299 so I know some place still sell it cheap.

There has been lots of talk in the media about politicians and gun control lately, always drives the market into the next gear of supply v. demand. Locally the SD's run for $390 (but were $370 on special not too long ago). In an ironic twist my LGS is either no longer carrying the Sigmas or has been out of stock for 2 months or so. I am betting it's the former. When he did have the Sigmas around Thanksgiving they were $349.

I bought the SD9 home defense kit for $450 in WA. its a pretty great price for what you get, the gun, 2 mags, a s&w micro90 taclight and a nano gunvault locking box.

The 90 lumen light is redonkulously bright for its size and the locking case comes with a cable to secure it to the truck seat so I don't have to worry about some meth lusting idiot running off with it while I'm on a job site.

Saw them at the gun show last weekend for $379 (SD'd) saw a TN state trooper Sigma 40F for $450

I noticed that GT Distributors is offering the SD at $309.95. M&Ps start at $399.95. That's including the LE/Mil/EMS/Firefighter/TSA/etc discount on both guns. GT apparently doesn't carry the Sigma.

I live in a small town. The local gun shops don't have any Sigmas or SDs in stock right now, so I can't give you any normal gunshop prices.

I live in a small town in metro-Atlanta. One guy had the Sigma (just so i could handle before i bought), he wanted $399.00 then he said he could "do" $359.00. I laughed. Thats how the majority of his prices are. My regular LGS didn't have one in stock but I got it for $329.00 total after tax $352. May have been because he had to order it. If it's not in by tomorrow, I'm asking for my money back and getting an SR40

I was just at a local gun show, (Fort Pierce, FL), last month, they were selling new Sigmas for $299, SDs were $389

If you don't get your Sigma, you won't be disappointed with an SR40. I have an SR9 and that is one FANTASTIC handgun. Now, you did mean the "SR" right? The Ruger? Or did you mistype and mean the SD(S&W)? I've seen a few post here and there where folks mix that up. I've done it myself.

no i meant SR40. i'd like an SD40 but he'll have to order those too, but the way things are going now i'm getting pissed. this is ridiculous. a week and and a day now. the SR40 is in stock sitting behind the counter

Academy here has Sigmas for $299, the SD's are $399. Saving up for a .40 since it will fit my DeSantis holster for my SD9 and my Streamlight will also work on it.

haha i envy you guys! SW40VEs run 400+ around here seen it as high as 429. Got a steal on the one im getting at 349, still really pricey but the ffl fees are anywhere from 75-125. I might as well stick it out here. Oh I am in the Central Valley of California.

I just purchased my sigma 9mm for 360 or something right around there.. + tax it came to almost 400 out the door.
Gander mountain would of saved me 3 dollars. and buds gunshop.com would of saved me 50. including the transfer fee.

Yep, got the SD9 with mags and case for $399 at Academy right before Christmas. Good shooting gun, really like the trigger and sight upgrade. Well worth the money, ran about 800 rounds so far with 2 FTE. One was a rough casing and the other was a wife limp wrist right when she started shooting. No worries

Sigma 40 was $329 before tax
SD40 was $429 before tax. ouch! could be worse, it could be in california and pay another eighty and have 4 rounds less

Picked up mine for $395 + tax 2 weeks ago here in NE NC. Buds would have been about $30 bucks cheaper (the tax), but I prefer to spend locally if it's close.

im torn between getting the sigma in 40 or bumping up a pay grade.. but either way im gonna get it through buds or see what my LGS has to offer. Forget spending 400 for a sigma twice.. fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, well then I don't need to be buying handguns. If im gonna be spending 400 on it. might as well get the M&P, or sd

I got both of my sigmas when they had the $50 rebate, 275.00 OTD could not be beat. Sd's were not available at the time. I will have a SD and since I am seeing more price drops it may be sooner than I figured. In the last 2 weeks I have seen retailers in my area drop 29.00 of the price. If I go online with shipping and 25.00 transfer fee, my cost is looking like 396.00. I think or at least hope by year end that S&W may be offering rebates on this model, from what I have noticed, I would think the marketing guys may be wanting to find a way to move more of these faster.
