My FFL enabler just got in a small estate and one pistol he gave me a heads up on was a very clean no dash .38 model 60 with a three letter prefix serial so sometime in the 80’s I’m guessing.
Come with paperwork and a nice leather holster (He didn’t mention who made it).
He said it looks like new - it was fired but not much.
No box just the original paperwork and holster
OTD he is asking for $450
Thoughts?
I’ll see it this evening and can grab some more details.
UPDATE My FFL had the guy come over so we can look at the 60. That “clean” model 60 was all marked up and had chips all over the stocks plus it was bone dry with a lousy trigger. It did come with an Alessi ankle holster but I passed. Top strap had some minor rust and so did the side plate. What a joke how some people believe they have a pristine gun when it had obvious wear.
My FFL was pissed. He knew the guy so took him at his word but lesson learned. On the bright side he did sell me a cheap Lobo j frame holster for $5!
