Hey Guys Long Time NO See..
There's a S&W M&P9Shield 1.0 at the local pawn shop & it's priced @ $259.99 & it looks almost good enough to at least put on layaway for $26 = 10% down..
I know these pistols are priced to move & this one is calling my name & I already have a Glock26Gen4..
I saw Bud's has them listed @ $281 NEW..
Do you think I should get with our buddy "Fluff" @ The Pawn & try an get the price even lower, He'll do that for me if the price is whacked etc., He gets commission on the sales too, I put a Glock 24Gen3 on layaway a while back for $399 & need to pick it up soon as well as a Brian Moore iGuitar1.13 also $399..
I likes the thin feel of the Shield which seems more like a Glock43to me.. Just a little thinner than my G26Gen4

So what would be a great used price on a Shield 9mm now days?
Should I just hold off until the 2.0s are on the streets used?
What Say The??

I have seen new 1.0's advertised in many places at $279 or lower. Almost a daily occurrence over at Grabagun.

They are still $249.99 new at PSA.

Locked and loaded has the 2.0 for $282.

How many mags come with it? Holster? For just the basic gun with box and 2 mags it's too expensive at current market prices. It's a good gun and should cost more but doesn't. $225 out the door might be OK but I'd start at $200 or less. The current rebate is for military vets.

I recently gave $250 for a LNIB Shield 9.

I could have gotten a new one online, but I bought from a local individual and avoided any shipping, transfer fees, and taxes.

I'm in the "$259.99 is too much" crowd.

The big thing you're giving up by buying used is the warranty and life time service policy. You'll have to figure out how much that's worth to you vs extra stuff that comes with the pistol. Like someone above mentioned, if you're a vet, there's a $40 rebate on a new semi purchase until Oct.

I just purchased a 2.0 with intragrated laser paid $340 but with the vet discount and the $10 LE discount at the gun shop I paid less than $300.

All info so far may help me haggle the price on the M&P9Shield..
The guy at the pawn has no trouble telling us what he has in their goods there.. Plus they deal with us every time..
I must resist the temptation & just say that my Glock26Gen4 will be enough, But need to think of what my Brother needs..
BTW He wants a full size 1911 or 1991 Colt = Lots more money..

Pawn shop gun? Same price as new? A no brainer if you ask me. Offer him $200 with a guaranty he'll take it back if there's problems with it.

Well My Son & I walked into our favorite Pawn Shop yesterday & you guessed it the S&W M&P Shield was gone. Someone else dropped the $259.99 on it..
We went ahead & paid on our Lay-A-Ways & left..

I will be looking for a 1911 for my twin bro..
I'm guessing a Colt, Kimber, SIG etc. Love that POW/MIA SIG BTW..
Thanks to everyone & yes it looks like Kentucky Gun Company has the price on these little pistols..
I don't live on that side of the river any longer & moved to Clarksville Indiana where I was born, It's two Miles from Louisville, Kentucky..

Gotta Run get a shower & get down to see my Brother & Son..

With the screaming low prices on the Shield and M&P 9mm’s you will be kicking yourself in the rear this time next year for not buying now.

Well it seems that the S&W M&P Shield has come full circle for me..
Let me explain.. I was looking at one of them for myself, I have a Glock 26 Gen 4 that fills my CCW needs fully + have a Glock 24 Gen 3 40 S&W put back..
My twin brother is wanting a pistol currently, He wanted a Colt 1991-A1 45acp but they seem to go for $850 now days.. So I suggested the M&P Shield to him.. The local gun getting joint has several S&W M&P Shields, They want $259 for the 9mm & $249 for the 40 S&W & $319 for a Glock 43..
We are gonna go looking sometime next week if everything goes right as far as time etc..
I would imagine from what I've seen so far that He will be looking very hard at the S&W M&P Shield 9mm 1.0 either new or used..
I know the new one will have a $40 rebate till October 1st & a Lifetime Service Policy..
Anyhow that's the story so far & I will still offer $500 for just about any S&W 940 I can get my hands on, That's the most I ever paid for one, I had a half dozen of those sweet J Frame Centennials..

I just picked one up from my local Cabela's for $269+tx. I used discounted gift cards from Raise. I bought $300 in gift cards for $263 so I was able to get the Shield and a box of hollow points for my $263 and there's $1 left on the gift card...lol
