Up to now I have been reloading using my Lee Classic hand loaders. They work very well, but I was getting tired of using a hammer to 1) deprime, 2) seat new primer, and 3) seat the bullet. So I got a Lee Challenger Press and used it today to deprime and full length resize some .223 cases. Followed the directions in terms of installing the die and lubbing the cases. Process worked perfectly, except the primers did not fall to the left and deposit themselves in the disposal tube but instead happily fell through the piston to the right and onto the floor. Out of about 70 cases, only three or four primers found their way to the tube connected to the left of the piston. I haven't decided yet whether to to tape some paper or cardboard to the right side of the press frame to try to contain the primers or just let them fall on the floor and vacuum after I am finished.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
