My Dillons don't like CCI primers. I have had no problems with Federal, Winchester, or Tula large or small primers. I have not seen Remington for sale.

My 550b has loaded around 100,000 rounds with mostly small CCI's and some WLP. Primer brand seems to be an issue only when your primer feed is at one edge or the other of the proper adjustment. Ivan

I would put a call in to Dillon! I have an XL 650 and use Federal, Winchester, CCI and Remington Primers (both large & small) with absolutely no discernible differences or hang ups. They all run smooth through the machine. The ONLY glich I have experienced is with Winchester Primers which sometimes get hung up in the pick up tubes and I suspect that is only because Winchester primers are plain Brass and NOT Nickel Plated as are all the others. Still, once in the machine they work perfectly as do the others.

I wish Winchester would stop being cheapskates and go back to Nickeling their primers!

My 550 eats every brand of primer I feed it. I prefer CCI primers.

Just like guns, i guess they all have a preference.
