primers

Found CCI 1000 SPP and 1000 LPP 2 weeks ago at a small shop for $59 each. Made me sick to spend $120 on 2000 primers.....

I would really like to find some pistol primers. I have enough rifle primers for a while, but less than a 1000 large or small pistol primers.
I am all most at the point that I will stop shooting till I can replace what I use.
I have not seen primers in over a year.

get into reloading, they said. it will get you by during ammo shortages, they said. i haven't seen any primers around these parts in many months. paid $100/1k for some small rifle on the secondary market. still looking for small pistol and small pistol magnum with no luck at any price.

DISCIPLINE my friends..... If we don't control ourselves, we can't control the market..... DON'T BUY.... they will have to bend to our will if we don't bend to theirs. Quit shooting for a year if you have too...just...DON'T BUY

Buy them when you see them. I use my primers,
and not going to resell or trade.

Not passing them up when....under 4 cents/primer.

I know there are folks that stop by their LGS on there way shooting to pick up ammo. I've lived thru several of these shortages due to politicians.
Not to long ago I was getting emails for CCI std vel 22 lr for 25.00 a brick.
LGS had 9mm wichester and Remington 9mm for 10 bucks a box.
Hopefully these times will return.
I think gun control is ammo control. Try not to get caught short.

Shooting is becoming a Rich Man's sport. I'm too old to keep up and hate to drop out but feel I'm being forced to.

And this my friends is one of their new tactics, not new in the sense that they just thought it up but new in its implementation. Ever look at what people have to pay in the EU to hunt? The financial outlay is phenomenal as is the "education " expense. Yes, yes, got to price these mongrels out of the picture.

$49 for 1000 primers? Bring them on! I'll take 5.

Just picked up 2000 CCI LPP at the Reno Scheels @ $60 per 1000. A pretty good selection of brass, bullets and loaded ammo, but no powder.

Went to a small collectors show today, probably less than 100 tables. There were a couple of folks with primers, powder, bullets and ammo but prices were pretty crazy. CCI small pistol primers were running $199-$249/1000. I was happy to see people had more sense than to buy at these prices.

One guy has a lot of powder, Hodgdons, Accurate and Alliant but for the most part they were shot shell powders or less popular pistol powders. Prices on what I saw were ok at $35/pound on average. Bullets and ammo I didn't really bother to look at.

Very good show though. This show is primarily collectors and not dealers selling and trading with a lot of vintage arms. There were very few AR and AK platform guns.

I'm happy to report I did a really good trade for a 1955 5 screw K22 6". It's not new but I'd call it 96%. I've had a K22 on my short list for decades and finally found one at a reasonable price and had the right gun to trade.
