Primers?

I realize that primers are not easily found these days.
But can anyone chime in on how long the back orders are taking with cabelas?
There web site and customer service are saying approximately 1 week
for back orders, currently. Is this wishful thinking?

I ordered 1K of Magtech small pistol primers on 8/14. They were in stock and I received them today. They also have Winchester 231 powder in stock. Or, did when I ordered them. (I see that the primers are now backordered, sorry!)

I ordered about 4,000 primers from Cabella back in March. Every couple of weeks I would get an email announcing a new delivery date and asking if I wanted to cancel. Finally, after the July 25 delivery date passed, they wrote and told me they did not know when they would receive primers so they were canceling my order. In my humble opinion, they realized they could no lonjger fill orders at the listed price and decided to get out of them.

Cables has been getting in MagTech primers in more than any other brand. Best bet place and order for the MagTech. Good Luck! Any one notice this?

I have had 4000 WLP on order since June, I would say that one week is beyond wishful, it's down right hope for change.

I had a backorder on SP and LPs with Cabela's since early April, and finally called them to cancel a couple of weeks ago, as I had been finding some locally...

I've found that if you check around regularly, the local shops will get primers in stock. The shops in my area have limited how many you can buy per day (usually 1k/day, another place limits to 500/day), and that seems to have helped in keeping them in stock for more for a little while...

I now have enough to last a good while, but have not 'hoarded...'

I have also been waiting on 10,000 WSP since spring @ $29.99. The Cabela's store has them in stock, but for much more money. I'm not out, so I am patiently waiting. But I do feel that most will cancel their order and let them off the hook.

Cabelas actually cancelled my backorder.

I got 10K from Grafs after about 4 weeks on backorder.

I ordered the 4000 WLP and a pound of 800X, both were supposed to ship in two weeks. So they shipped the powder, now I have paid shipping and HazMat for that pound of powder, one expensive pound. Cabalas does not charge shipping for back orders, so I am going to keep my order for primers current if I have to call every week.

I ordered 10,000 small and large remington primers on 8-8-09 and just received 5000 small pistol yesterday. Large pistol still on backorder. I ordered 5000 wolf lp from wiedners and received them within about a week.

Well I checked yesterday and widners stated on there site that they were
a few days on getting ordrers out, I only ordered a couple thousand LP-MAG. I have a few thousand small pistol on hand.
Ill give it a week or so with cabelas and just cancel just staying positive

I got a case of Large Rifle primers last week at Grafs. I'm still waiting on Large Pistol.

The Small Pistol came in earlier this summer. MagTech. Canceled the Wolf as they were not coming in at all.
