I'm holding in my hand right now a beautiful, show room perfect S&W Model 52-1, has been fired a couple hundred rounds but is perfect in every way. Two magazines without even a hint of a scratch that they have been used. The grips are perfect, every check in them is sharp and clean. No box but.......

When was this lady brought into the world and what do they go for on the open market?
I'm going to try a pic, not a good photo but it shows the gun and the ammo that is with it.

Don't know about current market value on them, but it most likely shipped around Feb 1965. Very nice! Care to share how you found it?

It belongs to a woman I shoot with, she has had it since it was new, just not in her possession, she made the effort to get it home, there is a 39-2 in fine condition as well as well as a 1960 Python and a couple other hand guns. She was in a shooting club back in the day, then she got married and raised 3 offspring and shooting fell by the wayside until last year, now she is back, at 80 years of age and loves it, mostly with a 380 EZ.

I have two 52-1’s, both in excellent condition as you describe that one being. I paid $900 each and felt like I stole them. Gunbroker closed auctions have 52-2’s going for $1200 and 52-1’s a little less, in the $1000 range.

That 52-1 is VERY close in serial number to mine.
I'm talking less than 20 units from mine.
Mine was shipped in January of 1965.
