I don't know about you, but it seems everybody and his/her brother is sending me e-mails about the convenience of these new infrared forehead thermometers, and encouraging me to buy one or two or more. I look at the e-mail address, and it's usually nondescript - nothing that would appear to be a legitimate business or any warehouse store I've ever used.

It's gotten so bad that I get up to 3 or 4 of these unwanted solicitations every day. I'm 90% sure each of them is a scam. I flag the e-mails as unwanted spam, and they end up my virtual garbage can.

Is anyone else getting these, and if so, actually bought anything? I hope I'm not being singled out for this junk.

As with most other products and services ... thanks for telling me what might "Might" be available. Beyond that. Don't call us. we'll call you.

I made a mistake and I ordered a fore head thermometer on the internet. The company is Light in the box and I could not get any help from Pay Pal. The company is in China and does not list an address or contact information.

During my last Doc visit, A Nurse used one on me.
I say, I like that!
Would love to have one!
Where do you store it when your not using it?
She wouldn’t tell me.

We normally do not have a thermometer in the house,,
one day, the wife wanted to check her temp,,

I pulled out the digital Weber meat thermometer,,
we got a temp using the under the tongue method,,

The next day, my daughter was coming over, I asked her to bring her forehead thermometer,,

The Weber recorded the same temp within a tenth or two,,

The Weber is good enough for what we need,, and,, it is not a "unitasker"!! :D

I did procurement for medical supplies before I retired. I dealt directly with McKesson Medical and Medline Medical both of which sell thousands of different products. Neither McKesson or Medline will sell direct to consumers but if you go to Amazon and search for Medline Amazon will bring up Medline and you can look for your thermometer there.

I don't even look at the emails I receive for items for sale. If the sender is not an address I know, the email is deleted. If I want some item, I always look on Amazon to find the product and then read the one star reviews of that product. I look and find the percentage of the reviews which are one star. To me, this gives a good picture of the problems and quality of the item.
