Can i swap barrels? i would like a longer barrel or one with the flash suppressor. Just got it today and have already ordered a fore grip and am lookin into scopes and red dots.

As of right now the only way you can get a flash supressor is to have a gunsmith thread your barrel for you. There arent any longer barrels available yet for the 15-22.

You could have purchased a 15-22 already equipped with a flash suppressor. (albeit, there isn't much flash to be found)

well that sucks. that was one of the reasons I was considering the Colt was for the flash suppressor

Its only like $30 bucks to have a gunsmith thread the barrel to fit a flash supressor.

Did we ever figure out if it's legal to remove the barrel and have it threaded in California ??? I can't do it here in evil NY. Can't thread the barrel, can't remove the pin that holds the stock from being adjusted, can't remove the pin that stops you from loading more than 10 rounds ina 25-round mag......ugh.........
P.S. You'll be needing a special wrench to remove your barrel nut on your 15-22, there is no other way to get it off to remove the barrel

the reason i like the flash suppressor is it helps hide the fact that its a 22. when i got mine no one said i could get a flash suppressor already installed

There are flash hiders that slip over the end of the barrel and fasten with a set screw, however if you spend a few bucks are have your barrel threaded there are many more options for "dressing the pipe" :)

Just be sure to abide by your state laws.

There is a thread adapter so you can put flash hiders or the more friendly muzzle brake on your 15-22. Or any of the other 1/2-28 threaded accessories, real supps included.
And you don't need to take your rifle apart.
