Problem after problem

Seems kind of funny to me. Lots of problems tend to occur with "home grown reloads". I find it a good idea to test a new firearm with factory loaded "quality" ammo. i.e. federal Premium, That way you'll know if everything works correctly......well at least one time.

I'm sorry, I don't want to appear belligerent but I can't agree with the notion that factory loads represent "quality" ammo and handloads are somehow inferior.
I own several firearms that have never chambered a single factory round. The round count on my 40 cal is probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 35000. Every one of them came off my press and not one misfired.
Factory ammo is mass produced by high speed machinery and subject to the same flaws and defects that affect any manufactured item. The machinery and dies that punch out factory ammo are subject to wear and dimensions float dramatically within the specified tolerances. Quality control is as good as the OEM can make it, but consistency and uniformity of the finished product is never perfect. Manufacturing is an exercise in compromise.

My ammo is hand crafted one round at a time with care and precision that borders on obsession. The quality of my handloads will compare favorably to the ammo of any manufacturer by any criteria you care to name. I don't care whose name is on the box.

Any issue I had with my M&P was not ammo related. The same round that jammed my AR was subsequently checked in a headspace gage and fired in another 308 with no issue whatever.
