Problem loading 7+1 in the Shield

Trusting I am in the right forum for my question, I would really appreciate any advice about loading a +1 in my 9mm Shield. No problem loading 7 or 8 (in the extended mag) but when I've loaded one in the pipe and refill the magazine to capacity (for my +1) I cannot get the magazine to re-seat into the well. Simply said, I am only able to get 7 or 8 rounds into my Shield. I also have a Ruger SR9 for home defense and have no problem loading a +1. Any advice to this novice will be greatly appreciated.

It will fit, give it a good upward whack on the magazine base plate and it will click right in.

Yes, it is a tight fit and you are not the first to notice.

It does loose some of the mag. spring tension after repeated magazine cycling of rounds.

That's the deal.. Also, leave the mags loaded..

It is a really tight fit, but mine works.

Mine was REAL tight when new... has gotten much better over time. Still needs to be seated quite firmly.
