Problem With MP45

So I've had my M&P 45 for about 4 months now have shot at least 300 rounds through it. I love it and take well care of it. Recently though I've had a problem with my clips, I have two 10 rds and two extended clips. Anyways when all my shots are fired, the slide doesn't stay cocked back. And when I go to release the clip it doesn't slide out like its stuck. I have to pull it out rather then it slide out for me. Like I said I've taken well care of it and have thoroughly cleaned and looked for something possibly wrong. Do I need a gunsmith for this or has anyone else experienced this problem??

Are all your magazines S&W or after market? Do you shoot or drop the magazines to a paved or dirt surface? How about ammo, new or reloads?

My M&P .45s have at least twice the number of rounds through them, but all first run ammo and no dropping the magazines on the deck or dirt and no problems like you are having.

If the magazines have been dropped on a hard surface it's possible that the feedlipshave been bent enout to prevent the follower from locking back the slide. If dirty, it could impact dropping free. Dust or powder residue could also affect magazines dropping free. However you indicated that all is well cleaned.

If aftermarket magazines they could be out of spec, causing the problems you mention.

Unless you're talking about a revolver half/full moon clip or discussing the operation of your M1 Garand, it's not a "clip"...
