While shooting my new Governor revolver that I has loaded with .45ACP cartridges in the 2-round clips, adjacent to each other, they failed to eject after firing the rounds! The clips jammed against each other when I tried to eject them.
Had to get a screwdriver and pry them out to clear the cylinder.
Observed that one clip had expanded opening from when they had initially been loaded with new G.I. ammo.
What is the cause? Will not load 2 round clips side-by-side anymore!

Honestly, I haven't tried two 2rd clips, Ive used a three, and a two, but mostly use six, when target shooting I shoot either ACP or long colt, I don't mix it up. FYI mine is most accurate with ACP. How about yours?

I'm not entirely certain from the way you detailed the above observation, is it possible one of the spring steel clips was bent or "sprung" out of shape when you loaded it? If that's the case, it's hardly the fault of the gun, just a faulty clip.

In any case, it would help if you could verify that the clip was bent on initial loading. By the way, Brownell's sells the 2, 3, and 6 round clips for the Governor.

I would agree agree to try a very small amount of filing or even just some polishing and see if that helps. I did buy some non-S&W clips off of ebay and found that I had to sand down some burs before they would work well enough.

rkmdogs;
You might want to try the RIMZ full moon clips. They are a polymer full moon clip, easily loaded or unloaded by hand without tools. That'll solve your problem for casual use, for sure:
